Osseointegrating Surfaces

BTLock fixtures are available in 2 different surface options:

• BT-Tite (BT-Tite One / BT-Tite Standard / BT-Tite CV2 Lines)
• HA Coated (HA Coated Standard Line)

BT-Tite surface is the combination of a physical-mechanical treatment (sandblasting by material at controlled granulometry) and following chemical treatments (acid-etching and passivation at controlled lengths). The result is a highly micro-porous surface which helps the attraction of cells starting osseointegration process.

HA Coated surface is subjected to a first treatment with plasma spray and then covered with hydroxyapatite. This solution is required in the event of bone loss.

Colour Code

All the components (fixtures, prosthetic components, and inserting tools) are characterized by a colour which reflects their diameter. This procedure improves their use and makes the selection easier during surgeries and during both the prosthetic and laboratory stages. BTLock colours are produced using an electro-chemical process without the addition of material or any alteration of the titanium properties.
